About Us (Delahoja Guesthouse 2002-2006)
|
Late in 2001 we started pursuing our dream of living and working in Spain, having watched endless Spanish property programs on TV.
We initially thought we wanted to live near the coast, but quickly realised that it was not for us and we extended our search inland.
Granada was the last place on the list

and the rest is history, the area is stunningly beautiful, steeped in history, and although many people talk about living in "Real Spain" This really is it. The local people are fantastic and welcome everyone with open arms.
We bought a Farmhouse with 4 acres of land and 170 Olive trees near the town of Moclin Granada in the heart of rural Andalucia.

The first renovations were completed and we had 8 bedrooms 5 en-suites one of which was disabled friendly.
During the second half of 2006 we closed the guesthouse, stopped offering bed & breakfast and carried out a second series of renovations so that we now have a completely self contained self catering apartment which we let out for holidays. The Apartment is fully wheelchair accessible
There is a 12 x 8 metre Swimming Pool and a terrace with stunning views of the countryside.

unwind or venture out and discover the hidden delights of rural Andalucia, not only the views and the history but take time out to experience the warm welcome the locals give to everyone.
Granada airport is approximately 25 minutes drive whilst Malaga airport is an approximate 90 minute drive that takes you through the heart of Andalucia and some of the most spectacular scenery this area has to offer.
